Health Benefits of Essential Oils

Regardless of their extensive use, there is little to know about the effectiveness of essential oils in the treatment of health conditions.

Here are some common health problems that are used to treat essential oils and aromatherapy.

Stress, Anxiety and Depression

It is estimated that 43% of people who have stress and anxiety use some forms of alternative medical therapy to help them.

Regarding aromatherapy, the primary research has become quite positive. Many have shown that some essential oil odor can serve as complementary therapy for anxiety and stress.

However, due to graduation of compounds, it is difficult to blindly study blindness and ban bias. For this reason, many reviews on stress-and the anxiety-free effects of essential oils are incompatible.

Interestingly, the use of essential oils during massage can help relieve stress, even though the effects may end only during the massage.

Headaches and Migraines

In the '90s, two small studies have found that a papermint oil and ethanol mixture on participants' foreheads and temples touched headaches.

Recent studies have positive effects against headaches while applying papermint and lavender oil to the skin.

It has been suggested that applying kamamile and sesame oil mixture to temples can effectively use headaches and magazines. This is a traditional Persian headache remedy.

Sleep and Insomnia

The memorable lavender oil positively influences the sleeping quality of women after the birth of the baby, as well as patients with heart disease.

One review examines 15 research on essential oils and sleeping. Most studies have found that the smell of oil (most lavender) has had a positive effect on sleeping habits.

Reducing Inflammation

It has been suggested that essential oil may help fight the inflammatory condition. Some test-tube studies have found that they have inflammatory effects.

One mouse study found that the combination of thym and organis essential oils helped avoid the loss of colitis. Two rats research on caraway and rosemary oil found similar results.

Antibiotic and Antimicrobial

Increasing the antibiotic-resistant bacteria has been an interest in finding other compounds that can fight bacterial infections.

Essential oils like peppermint and tea tree oils have been widely investigated in test tubes for their antimicrobial effects. In fact, they showed some positive results.

However, the results of the test-tube study are interesting, but they do not reflect what's happening in your body. They do not prove that a certain essential oil can effectively treat human bacterial infections.
